The Parents & Family Association Campaign Committee Takes Action

Each year the Parents & Family Association (PFA) continues to get many worthwhile grant proposals. However, we know that with our current budget we will not be able to fund all of them so the Campaign Committee has a goal of raising more money with a Silent Auction, which we plan to conduct during this fall’s Family Weekend, Oct 3-5, 2008.

We would like invite YOU to be part of this effort. There are many ways to help. Consider bidding at the auction, donating an auctionable item or service or making a direct donation to the UA Parents & Family Association. We also are in need of many volunteers to help with the organization of the Silent Auction.

We would like to remind you that all monies raised by the Association are used exclusively to fund programs and services that benefit UA students. In recent years, we have funded a large number of projects that are directed at enhancing safety around campus, like: Women's Resources Grant, Friend to Friend Grant, Safe Cat Grant, Career Services Grant, Safe Ride Grant, Security Cameras Grant and many more.

Donors to the Parents & Family Association are recognized annually in the fall edition of our Magazine. In addition, we will announce the results of the Silent Auction and recognize all Silent Auction contributors in the November edition of Paw Prints – our monthly newsletter which is distributed to over 5,000 families. As always, the PFA is very appreciative of our members and donors and we do our best to assist you in helping your student to be successful.
